Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland’s Main Contractors have an exciting opportunity for a Design Manager to join their team working on a wide variety of projects. This role will be based in the Newry or Belfast office with flexibility to travel to sites as required. Upon completion of the probation period the successful candidate would get 1-2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Design Director
- Manage the submission and approval process for designs and materials, securing client approvals.
- Proactively address potential design risks by collaborating with the Design Team to devise solutions.
- Create forward-looking project plans.
- Coordinate with project management teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Demonstrate strong scheduling and program management abilities.
- Participate in site meetings, providing updates on project progress.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Design management experience with a main contractor or developer is ideal, though candidates from architectural practices or design firms with relevant skills will be considered.
- Background in residential projects
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
Compensation:
- €80,000–€90,000.
