Intermediate Site Engineer – Residential & Apartment Projects – Cork City
A leading main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential and apartment developments across Ireland is currently seeking an Intermediate Site Engineer (2–5 years’ experience) to join their team on a long-term project in Cork City. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to develop their career on large-scale residential and apartment construction projects with clear progression opportunities.
The successful candidate will support the Site Manager and Senior Engineering team in the delivery of all engineering and technical aspects of the project, ensuring works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with design and specification requirements.
Role:
• Carry out setting out and surveying duties for residential and apartment construction works in Cork City
• Support the Site Manager and Senior Engineer with day-to-day site engineering activities
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and design requirements
• Assist in coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed in the correct sequence
• Carry out quality control checks and maintain accurate site records
• Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and project documentation
• Monitor progress on site and report any issues or discrepancies to senior engineering staff
• Support the implementation of health and safety procedures on site
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on engineering progress
• Assist with materials tracking, technical queries, and problem-solving on site
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards at all times
Requirements:
• 2–5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer in construction or civil engineering projects
• Experience on residential, apartment, or building projects preferred
• Strong setting out experience using GPS and/or robotic total stations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering
• Proficient in site engineering tools and reporting systems
• Eligible to work in Ireland
• Full driving licence required
Salary and Benefits:
• Salary circa €60,000 – €70,000 depending on experience
