Mechanical Commissioning Lead
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Commissioning Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre project in Milan. This role is with a Tier 1 M&E contractor and a senior site-based role within a fast-paced mission-critical environment, responsible for leading the mechanical commissioning process from system preparation through to testing, handover and client sign-off.

Responsibilities
- Review IFC drawings, specifications, and technical submittals
- Develop and manage the mechanical commissioning plan
- Coordinate commissioning activities with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors
- Ensure systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
- Verify and witness commissioning activities across mechanical systems
- Lead walkdowns, inspections, tag walks, and system sign-offs
- Manage commissioning trackers, reports, and progress updates
- Ensure all commissioning documentation and scripts meet client standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Commissioning Lead or Senior Commissioning role
- Strong mechanical building services and commissioning background
- Experience delivering large-scale construction or mission-critical projects
- Data centre experience advantageous
- Excellent coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of QA/QC and commissioning processes

- Salary €90,000 – €110,000 DOE
