Estimator required for a well-established builder developer to work in head office in South Dublin. The successful Estimator will be a key part of the commercial team and will report to an excellent commercial director and be given all the support and assistance required to progress your career. Our client will consider a Junior QS who wants to move into this area.
Duties:
- The Estimator will assist in the preparation of tenders
- Quantify material, plant and labour requirements for relevant projects
- Analyse sub-contractor quotations, checking inclusions and exclusions
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Issue tender queries and prepare tender reports
- Source and categorise pre-project information
- Help Create a procurement schedule for the project
- Prepare cost reports and detailed estimates
- Assist in the complete the final handover to the project team
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree or Trade background
- The Estimator must have 5 years + experience working as an estimator or QS for a main building contractor
- Must have experience working in Ireland or the UK for a main contractor
- Good communication skills and proven track record in taking tenders from pricing through to final client award
- Ability to work as both part of a team and on their own initiative
