A leading developer is seeking a Design Manager – Innovation to join their pre-construction and design team. This role will support the strategic rollout of central design standards and drive innovation across a wide pipeline of residential projects.
Responsibilities:
- Project manage and coordinate the integration of new innovations within the business’s Innovation Framework.
- Engage with product suppliers and subcontractors to evaluate technical feasibility and develop implementation plans for new technologies.
- Prepare detailed project briefs that assess risks, opportunities, and cost-benefit for innovation rollout.
- Maintain a project-wide innovation programme across R&D and live sites.
- Create and standardise handover documentation using the Technical Design Library.
- Liaise across internal departments – technical, cost, sales, construction – to ensure coordinated innovation planning and delivery.
- Align all innovation initiatives with sustainability strategy and carbon reduction goals.
- Collaborate with commercial teams
- Manage and maintain the central design standards library.
- Support coordination and documentation for pre-construction pipeline meetings.
- Develop or manage the production of drawings and documents to reflect updated standards.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or Project Management.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in design or construction innovation within residential or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of Building Regulations, BCAR, and modern construction methodologies.
- Proven track record in developing and managing design innovation initiatives.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: €75,000 – €85,000
