BIM Engineer – 13564
We are currently recruiting a Senior BIM Engineer to work for a leading Mechanical and Electrical Engineering contractor in Cork. The successful candidate would be reporting into the Group BIM Manager. Our client has projects in Ireland, Europe and the UK and work across many sectors including Pharmaceutical, Power, Waste to Energy, Commercial, Data Centre and Petrochemical.

Responsibilities:
- Lead M&E Coordinator for industrial and commercial projects, liaising, collaborating and coordinating with BIM teams.
- Providing QA/QC on models and drawings.
- Implementing best installation practices for piping and detailing prefabrication opportunities.
- Developing models for prefabrication modules / skids.
- Checking models for constructability and maintenance.
- Checking GA drawings for design compliance.
- Generation and checking of Fabrication Packs, GA s & Isometrics.
- Produce weekly Updates of Navisworks Model and issue Clash Detection Reports.
- Work with 3rd Party Contractors and designers to resolve Issues.
- Co-ordinating with project site supervision and engineering team.
- Lead BIM teams.
Requirements
- A relevant third level degree or M&E trade qualification.
- 10+ years experience in a similar role specifically on mechanical and electrical projects.
- Extensive experience in piping including piping design, plant layout and coordination of piping and ventilation is essential.
- Proficient in Navisworks, Autodesk 3D packages and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
