Traffic Modelling Engineer

Our client is undergoing significant growth and is seeking an experienced Traffic Modelling Engineer. This role is primarily focused on traffic management, traffic modelling and road safety engineering within the construction and transport sectors. The company provides traffic management services, traffic impact assessments (TIAs), traffic management plans and broader consultancy services. They aim to bring road safety audits fully in‑house and are building the team to support this expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• The successful Traffic Modelling Engineer will prepare and review traffic management plans for construction sites and national projects.
• Undertake traffic modelling and analysis using industry-standard software
• Support and deliver Traffic Impact Assessments (TIAs) and related reports.
• Contribute to road engineering design and provide technical expertise to meet client and project requirements.
• As Traffic Modelling Engineer you will assist in bringing road safety audit capabilities in‑house (candidates with RSA experience are highly desirable).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders nationwide.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in traffic engineering, modelling, or transport planning.
• You must be on the TII Framework as a Road Safety Auditor 
• Experience analysing traffic data and producing technical reports.
• Proficiency in traffic modelling software (or ability to learn quickly).
• 5+ years’ experience in traffic management design.
• Strong understanding of traffic management for construction and road works.
• Experience producing TM plans and working with TIAs.
• Candidates must be based in Ireland and hold a valid driving license. (fully remote working structure).
