Technical Director – Ecologist:

Technical Director – Ecologist required to join a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with offices across Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to take the next step in their career and lead the Ecology Service Offering within a highly respected Irish-owned consultancy.
The successful candidate will play a key role as part of the Senior Management Team, contributing to the strategic growth of the company while managing and delivering a range of complex ecological and environmental projects across Ireland.

- Major infrastructure projects (roads, flood relief and renewable energy)
- Biodiversityenhancement and conservation planning initiatives
- Public sector projects requiring complex ecological assessments
- Large Residential Development – 597 units – Value: €162M
- Highrise office buildings – Value: €35M-€100M
- Education – Various education buildings – Value: €15M-€38M
- Healthcare – Various healthcare projects – Value: €13M – €150M
You will ideally have experience in the following:
- A degree in Ecology or a related environmental discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years’ post-graduate experience in ecological or environmental consultancy.
- The successful Ecologist will have full membership of CIEEM, CIWEM or equivalent professional body.
- Strong technical knowledge of Irish wildlife and conservation legislation.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage project delivery.
- The successful Ecologist will have experience in Appropriate Assessments (AA), Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs) and Biodiversity Chapters for EIARs.
- Excellent commercial acumen, client liaison and report-writing skills.
- Experience preparing Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).Applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland.

- Salary €90k – €100k+ doe
