A Sustainability Manager is required to join Ireland’s leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company. This company offers industry leading services in civil engineering, transport infrastructure, structure steel & pipe fabrication, water and wastewater, power, natural resources and ground engineering. They also have a major projects and a property division. This role will be based out of head office in Newbridge or Citywest.
Role:
- Establish and provide Leadership in best practice in sustainability matters in conjunction with the SHESQ function.
- Take a lead with site management teams to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the environmental and sustainability plans.
- Develop and implement de-carbonisation roadmap and associated campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the Operations and SHESQ Directors.
- Manage and where required be involved in the preparation & review of environmental and sustainability documents including those of 3rd parties.
- Identify significant environmental and sustainability issues and help set-up contracts / yards to include appropriate controls.
- Provide reports, presentations, and information as required
- Providing input and review of pre-qualification, tender and sustainability award submissions.
- Completing renewable energy assessments
- Reviewing and advising on the latest low or zero-carbon technologies
- Work with project management teams to measure environmental impact on the projects
- Managing carbon calculator
Requirements:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in civil engineering/construction preferable
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams,
- A flexible and proactive approach,
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
Salary
- Salary circa €65k – €80k DOE
