Experienced Structural Engineer required for a new role in an established team in Cork.
We’re representing a long-established and highly regarded Irish engineering consultancy with a strong presence in Cork and across Munster. Due to continued project growth, they’re looking for a Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Cork.

- Commercial Developments – Retail parks, office buildings, and mixed-use schemes valued
- Residential Projects – Private housing schemes and apartment developments
- Educational Facilities – New school builds, extensions, and university campus works
- Healthcare Projects – Primary care centres, hospital refurbishments, and community healthcare buildings
- Public & Infrastructure Projects – Local authority civic buildings, bridge upgrades, and road infrastructure
- Sustainability & Retrofit Works – Energy-efficient retrofits, structural upgrades, and conservation projects
Duties:
- Deliver high-quality structural designs across commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational projects
- Undertake structural analysis, design calculations, and detailed modelling using standard design software
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other design disciplines to achieve coordinated project delivery
- Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Attend site visits, inspections, and design team meetings
- Ensure all work complies with Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes
- Provide technical guidance to graduate engineers and technicians
Requirements:
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in structural design (buildings, infrastructure, or both)
- Proficiency in analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, STAAD, Tedds, Revit, or equivalent)
- Sound understanding of Irish building standards, Eurocodes, and construction processes
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative design team
- Based in or within commuting distance of Cork City
