Site Manager – Substation & Utilities Projects – North Dublin
A Site Manager is required to lead and oversee the delivery of substation and utilities infrastructure projects across North Dublin. This is a site-based role managing major power and civil engineering schemes, ideal for an experienced Site Manager with a background in heavy civils, utilities, or energy projects.
The role would suit candidates with experience in Ireland, the UK, or Australia managing civil engineering, power, or utilities works.
Role:
- Lead and manage day-to-day site operations for substation, civil, and utilities works.
• Ensure delivery of projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and engineers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Oversee compliance with project Health & Safety Management Systems and statutory requirements.
• Review and approve RAMS, method statements, and safe systems of work.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and progress monitoring.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions.
• Support materials management, logistics, and resource planning on site.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all site personnel.
• Liaise with clients, design teams, and senior management to ensure project objectives are met.
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Site Manager or Senior Site Engineer role within civil, power, or utilities projects.
• Experience managing substation, energy, heavy civils, or utilities works is highly desirable.
• Proven track record delivering infrastructure projects safely and efficiently.
• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Irish and/or UK H&S legislation and construction regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, site-based environment.
• Proficient in project reporting, Microsoft Office, and relevant site software.
• Full driving licence and right to work in Ireland.
Location & Working Pattern:
- North Dublin – site-based on substation and utilities projects.
• Full-time, permanent role.
Package:
- Salary: €70,000 – €80,000 (DOE)
