A highly respected and long-established civil engineering contractor is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major residential development in South Dublin. This is a long-term opportunity with the initial phase of the project just getting underway and further developments planned in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all on-site civil engineering works including groundworks, drainage, utilities, and road construction.
- Lead direct labour teams and subcontractors, ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to required specifications.
- Track site progress, maintain daily records, and participate in regular site meetings.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations across the site.
- Review and interpret construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of works.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee quality control, including inspections and testing, to maintain high construction standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager or Civils Foreman on residential or civil engineering projects in Ireland.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of effectively managing teams and subcontractors.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications.
- Full, clean driving licence.
