Site Engineer – Residential Projects – Cork City
A Site Engineer is required for a well-established Main Building Contractor to work on high-quality residential projects in Cork City. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a reputable company and take a key role in delivering large-scale housing developments. The successful candidate will have strong experience working with main contractors in Ireland or the UK and be confident in managing all technical elements on site.
Duties:
- Set out the site and carry out precise surveying work on residential units and associated infrastructure.
- Monitor quality control and ensure all works comply with project specifications and building regulations.
- Coordinate daily with subcontractors and the Site Manager to ensure efficient progress on site.
- Assist with planning and scheduling construction activities to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain detailed site records and produce progress reports as required.
- Ensure health & safety standards are implemented and adhered to at all times.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, design teams, and project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on residential or building projects in Ireland or the UK.
- Strong setting-out and surveying skills, ideally with experience on housing developments.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Fluent English and eligible to work in Ireland.
- Full driving licence.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary €60,000 – €65,000
