I am Hiring a Site Engineer for a major educational build project, with a large scale main contractor in South Wicklow. This role offers the chance to work on large-scale projects while developing your skills in a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Set out works and ensure foremen and operatives understand drawings and specifications.
- Communicate requirements clearly to subcontractors and teams to ensure work is executed correctly.
- Test materials according to specifications and monitor compliance.
- Record daily activities, progress, and site occurrences in the site diary.
- Report on subcontractor work progress to management.
- Conduct work safely and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Maintain professional relationships with all site personnel.
- Monitor and maintain setting out instruments and testing equipment.
- Maximise efficiency and minimise rework through accuracy and self-management.
- Attend site meetings and follow management directions.
Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Engineering.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in setting out or site engineering.
- Experience with main contractors, subcontractors, or surveying firms preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, or similar software.
