SHESQ Advisor required to join Ireland’s leading Civil Engineering Contractor. Working on various projects in the Dublin & Kildare area. The SHESQ Advisor will work closely with the Project Team ensuring the safe execution of works and embedding the Company s ‚ÄòNever Harm culture on site.
Role:
- Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental
- Management System and Quality Management Systems and to ensure continued
- compliance with OHSAS 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001.
- Carrying out inductions
- Producing monthly statistics
- Champion Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme)
- Carry out and document site audits and inspections
- Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and
- construction industry guidance.
- Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records
- Investigating, logging and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances
- Completing all necessary report forms
- Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set-up of appropriate
- controls
- Ensure all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available
- Prepare and present toolbox talks as and when required
- Prepare and present at monthly safety meetings
- Review subcontractor documentation
Requirements:
- Relevant 3rd level qualification in health and safety
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on civil engineering/construction sites
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams,
- A flexible and proactive approach,
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Implementing and rolling out behaviour based programmes
- Experience working on heavy civil engineering projects (deep excavations, lifting, confined space, etc.)
Salary
- Salary circa €50k – €60k DOE
