A leading civil engineering company is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their team on a large-scale civil infrastructure project in Navan. This role offers exposure to major projects across Meath, Louth, and surrounding areas, providing an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to take a leadership role on high-value infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site engineering and technical aspects of the project
- Ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate site activities and manage subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers
- Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and reporting project progress to senior management
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Site Engineer on civil or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of large-scale civil infrastructure construction, including roads, utilities, and related works
- Proven ability to manage on-site teams and subcontractors effectively
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Valid CSCS/SafePass certifications and knowledge of Irish construction regulations
