Senior Site Engineer – Civil Engineering
A Senior Site Engineer is required for a well-established Civil Engineering Contractor to work on a large-scale infrastructure project in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join a reputable company and play a key role in delivering high-quality civil engineering works. The successful candidate will have a strong background working with main contractors in Ireland or the UK and be confident managing the technical and supervisory aspects of civil engineering sites.
Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate all technical aspects of civil engineering works on site, including earthworks, drainage, utilities, roads, and foundations, as a Senior Site Engineer.
- Carry out and verify accurate setting out and surveying activities.
- Monitor quality control to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant standards.
- Collaborate closely with subcontractors, site managers, and project teams to ensure smooth progress and timely delivery.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring of civil works.
- Maintain detailed site records and prepare progress and compliance reports.
- Ensure health & safety regulations are strictly enforced and promoted on site.
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering projects, with at least 2 years in a senior/site lead role in Ireland or the UK.
- Strong expertise in setting out, surveying, and civil engineering site management.
- Good knowledge of health & safety regulations relevant to civil engineering works.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and site/project management software.
- Fluent English with eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Full driving licence.
Salary:
- Salary circa €70,000–€80,000.
