Our Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer to join their dynamic team for an exciting urban regeneration project in Balbriggan, Dublin. This project aims to rejuvenate the urban landscape, incorporating sustainable and innovative construction practices to enhance the community and environment.

Job Description: The Senior Site Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of the Balbriggan urban regeneration project. This individual will oversee and manage all on-site engineering activities, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring all activities are aligned with project timelines and objectives.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring all engineering activities comply with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of construction are achieved. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a strong health and safety culture on-site, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety briefings and audits.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, consultants, and local authorities, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process, employing innovative and practical solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, and quality assurance records.
  • Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within urban regeneration or large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and other engineering and project management tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
