Resident Engineer required to join a leading Irish Engineering consultancy for a Data Centre Project. The successful Resident Engineer will be responsible for supervising the administration of the construction contract, ensuring compliance with the works requirements and statutory approvals, monitoring and reporting progress.

Contract Duration: 18 months (with the possibility of follow-on contracts)

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and input to the administration of a construction contract (Public Works Contract for Building Works designed by the Employer).
  • Ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with the works requirements and any statutory approvals.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the progress of the works against the programme.
  • Reviewing Contractor Method statements/Inspection & Test Plans and ensuring that the works are being carried out in accordance with the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Regulations with the support of the Health and Safety Co-ordinator.

Requirements

  • Level 8 Degree or equivalent professional qualification, in Civil / Structural engineering.
  • 10+ years’ experience as a Resident Engineer supervising Major Building Works
  • Working knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Competence in the administration of construction contracts
  • Excellent IT skills and familiar with computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and AutoCAD.
