Senior Quantity Surveyor (Portugal)

Senior Quantity Surveyor required to join one of Ireland’s largest main contractors in Portugal to work on a large Data Centre project. Our client is interested in reviewing profiles for Senior Quantity Surveyors with MEP and/or CSA bias with experience overseeing project costs and securing sub-contractor packages.

Responsibilities: 

• Take measurements of work packages from drawings and apply rates to prepare package pricing.
• Administer the project budget as instructed by the Project Director.
• Handle all relevant communications with the client.
• Produce monthly reports in line with established procedures.
• Participate in monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings.
• Resolve disputes with clients or subcontractors efficiently.
• Submit claims and notices promptly in line with contractual requirements.
• Record cost variations to work scopes and prepare monthly valuations and final accounts.

Requirements 

• Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 7+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying or Estimation.
• Experience working on a Data Centre project would be beneficial.
• Excellent budgeting and financial forecasting skills.
• A proven working knowledge of current contract law.
• IT Skills – Microsoft Office and either Buildsoft or Cost X
