A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on major construction projects in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to take a leading commercial role on high-value developments while working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of cost planning, budgeting, and financial control across multiple construction projects
- Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies
- Lead the valuation process, including interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure effective commercial management
- Provide accurate financial reporting and forecasting to senior management
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors and commercial staff
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within commercial or large-scale construction projects
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management practices
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- Knowledge of Irish construction regulations and standards
- Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland) is desirable
