Senior Project Manager – Hybrid
A well-established leading Main Contractor in Athlone is seeking a Senior Project Manager with over 5 years of relevant experience in construction management. This is a preconstruction role suited to someone who is looking to move away from Site Based work to a more Office / Hybrid opportunity. The successful candidate will be provided with CPD Training as part of their introduction and transition into the new role.
Role:
- Work with Client bid team to compile PQQ’s and manage tender construction methodology submissions workload.
- Accompany the tendering team on site visits to appraise new projects as part of the tender bid process.
- Scrutinise, evaluate, and understand all information and documentation as included within tender packs.
- Assist in tracking all tender queries, responses, and addendums with the bid team.
- Collaborate with Construction Planners to prepare very detailed tender programmes following thorough review of all tender documentation, highlighting any constraints and risks to completion timelines.
- Seek input from other staff, subcontractors, and Client specialist consultants as part of the tender research process.
- Gather information and write accurate, well formatted, and well-presented content for all tender submissions.
- Engage fully with the estimating team to identify specific project risks, resolve proposed methodologies, agree resourcing requirements.
- Develop logistics plans and overall construction methodologies.
- Assess and develop opportunities for value engineering alternatives.
- Create 3D & 4D computer generated imagery in collaboration with Clients BIM department.
- Effectively present, with confidence, construction proposals with Clients bid team in a tender interview forum.
- Transfer knowledge with the tendering team to the Clients construction operations team upon successful contract award.
- Create and maintain a database of tender proposal information for future utilisation and ongoing improvement.
- Continually review & improve the company tender bid and pre-construction procedures.
- Provide content for company social media portals as required.
- Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within your sphere of knowledge, experience, or competency.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in project management in various sectors.
- 5+ Years experience working with a Main Contractor
- 3rd level degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proficient in IT, with expertise in Microsoft Office/Excel and Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrates outstanding communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Able to work accurately and efficiently while managing owns time to meet critical deadlines.
Salary:
- Salary €90k-€100k
- Excellent benefit package
- Hybrid (2-3 days)
