Senior Health and Safety Officer
A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Officer to oversee HSE management on a Pharma project in Limerick which is just starting. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management in a collaborative, professional environment, promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) initiatives across multiple projects.
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and compliance checks.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
- Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.
- Maintain and improve company HSE management systems and ISO accreditations.
- Promote strong safety culture and near-miss reporting across all teams.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Pharma project experience
- Minimum 4 years’ HSE experience in construction or civil engineering.
- Experience managing ISO standards and environmental systems.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
