Senior Construction Project Manager (Relocate to Canada)
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the Building Division of one of Canada’s largest construction companies. With an annual turnover of approximately $3 billion, our client is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects including High-Rise, Commercial, Healthcare, and Educational projects within the Ontario division.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily management of projects valuing over $30 million CAD, ensuring cost-effectiveness, adherence to schedule, quality standards, and compliance.
- Provide leadership in safety by implementing the company’s safety program.
- Plan, schedule, set objectives, and control activities throughout the construction phase.
- Mentor and manage a high-performing team, fostering the development of future construction professionals.
- Provide regular feedback, training, and coaching to project team members, ensuring their supervision and development.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on project performance for senior management.
- Foster positive relations and maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or trade certification in Construction or Engineering Discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction/Project Management with a Main Contractor in Ireland or the UK.
- Thorough understanding of construction industry practices.
- Familiarity with contract administration, including interpreting drawings, specifications, architectural and engineering standards, and building codes.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Plan Grid.
- Willingness to relocate permanently to Canada within 6 months.
