Quantity Surveyors and Estimators required to join one of Cork’s leading Build Contractors. This client has a large pipeline of work in including Hotels, Apartments and Warehousing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to develop their career within the construction industry in an exciting, growing firm.
Role:
- These include but are not limited to:
- Procurement, appointment and management subcontractors & suppliers through to final account
- Produce accurate progress accounts
- Preparation and assessment of interim and final valuations for progress payments
- Monitor and report on project costs
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns
- Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders
- Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations etc
Requirements:
- Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 3 years relevant Irish experience ideally with a main contractor
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. Experience in Buildsoft / Cubit / Bluebeam preferred
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with an ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and excellent measurement knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while working to tight deadlines, managing time effectively
- Ability to take initiative and work both individually and as a strong team player
