Our client is a leading Civil Engineering Contractor firm specializing in delivering high-quality projects across various sectors thoughout Europe. With a focus on innovation, integrity, and excellence, they are committed to providing exceptional service.

Position Overview: They are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor for a new project based in Sweden. The ideal candidate would have experience in reinforced concrete and groundworks and will be will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for reinforced concrete and groundworks projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant information.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Tendering: Assist in the tendering process by preparing and analyzing tender documents, conducting subcontractor negotiations, and providing recommendations to the project team.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including reviewing contract terms, variations, and claims, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Cost Reporting: Generate regular cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections to provide stakeholders with timely and accurate financial information.
  • Change Management: Assess and quantify changes to the scope of work, evaluating their impact on costs and timelines and preparing relevant documentation for approval.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with cost, schedule, and quality and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on reinforced concrete and groundworks projects.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical information and financial data.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.


  • Salary circa €65,000 – €75,000
