Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary: This client is now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with over 5 years of industry experience to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and financial control of construction projects across the country. This role offers exposure to a variety of projects and the chance to advance within a rapidly growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial control.
  • Conduct cost analysis, risk management, and value engineering to optimize project expenditures.
  • Manage and administer contracts, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating terms.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Evaluate and manage changes and variations to project scope, ensuring accurate documentation and cost adjustments.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial and contractual matters.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and budget constraints.
  • Provide support in dispute resolution and claims management, ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes.
  • Proficient in cost estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as MS Office and construction management software.
