A leading construction company is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team on major construction projects in Galway. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Manage subcontractor procurement, including pricing, negotiation, and appointment
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs and track financial performance against budget
- Support the commercial management of projects to ensure cost efficiency
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and documentation
- Identify and report on potential risks and opportunities
Requirements:
- 2–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within construction projects
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
- Good understanding of construction contracts and cost control processes
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of Irish construction regulations and practices
- Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland) is desirable
