One of my clients, a leading engineering consultancy with over 80 years of experience is seeking a motivated and experienced PSDP/Safety Professional to join their team in Dublin. This role will involve managing safety and health coordination on a variety of construction projects across the country. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and project teams to ensure a strong safety culture and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discharge the role of PSDP (Project Supervisor Design Process) on construction projects.
- Attend client/design and site meetings.
- Prepare preliminary safety and health plans.
- Compile and prepare safety files and health and safety reports.
- Conduct site visits to monitor and enforce safety compliance.
- Coordinate and liaise with all parties involved in the construction project.
- Review the competence of duty holders and contractors.
- Inspect and report on health and safety-related legal cases.
- Work alongside the PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage) to manage the safety of ongoing construction projects.
Requirements:
- A degree in Construction or a related discipline (e.g., Architecture, Building Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering).
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar safety-related role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and regulations.
- Experience managing complex construction projects from a safety perspective.
- Construction Safety and Health Training/
- Additional qualifications or experience in Occupational Health and Safety would be advantageous.
