A mid-sized main contractor is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a large-scale residential development in Cork. This role offers a long-term position with no travel required outside Cork. The successful candidate will manage the commercial aspects of a housing project (160+ units) and work closely with the Commercial Director and project team.
Responsabilities:
- Full commercial management of a residential project, including cost planning, subcontractor accounts, and cost reporting.
- Procure and manage subcontractor packages, ensuring competitive pricing and contract compliance.
- Prepare, monitor, and report project costs, budgets, and forecasts to the Commercial Director.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly valuations and final accounts.
- Liaise with site management, clients, and subcontractors to ensure all commercial aspects are in line with the project schedule and specifications.
- Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Maintain up-to-date records, commercial files, and procurement schedules.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably with a main contractor in the residential sector.
- Strong negotiation, commercial awareness, and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently while collaborating with the wider team.
- Experience with CostX or EQUE2 is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary:
- €65,000 – €75,000 DOE

- Permanent, full-time role based in Cork (No travel outside Cork)
- Strong pipeline of work and support from an experienced Commercial Director
