A great opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland. You will play a key role in project design and delivery, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and statutory authorities.
This role will suit a motivated Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and developing their technical expertise within a supportive team environment, with strong opportunities for professional development and progression towards Chartered status.
Projects
- Water and wastewater network design and upgrade schemes
- Drainage and stormwater infrastructure projects
- Design–build utilities and infrastructure developments
- Public sector and local authority water services projects
Role
- Prepare and review detailed engineering designs, drawings and specifications
- Liaise with clients, Uisce Éireann, TII and local authorities regarding approvals and submissions
- Undertake site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design standards and BCAR requirements
- Provide technical support during construction phases including snagging and certification
- Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies and planning submissions
- Support senior engineers and project managers in project coordination and client relationship management
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures, project programmes and ISO standards
Requirements
- Level 8 Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
- 4+ years’ relevant experience in water, utilities or civil infrastructure projects
- Experience in water and wastewater network design, drainage and stormwater systems
- Knowledge of water network modelling and design-build project delivery beneficial
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (experience or interest in Civil 3D / BIM advantageous)
- Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations, Eurocodes and Health & Safety legislation
Salary & Benefits
- €45,000 – €55,000 DOE
