A leading construction company based in Galway is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the management of all company vehicles, plant, and machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a well-established contractor in a key operational role. The position will be primarily office-based, focusing on the efficient coordination, maintenance, and utilisation of company equipment across multiple projects.
Role:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of all company vans, plant, and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of plant allocation, servicing, and certification.
- Coordinate repairs, servicing, and inspections with external suppliers and mechanics.
- Liaise with site management to ensure plant and equipment availability for ongoing works.
- Oversee the purchasing and replacement of equipment and parts as required.
- Monitor equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting for plant and machinery operations.
- Ensure all vehicles and machinery are fully compliant with insurance, tax, and health & safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in plant or fleet management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction vehicles, plant, and equipment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team.
- Strong IT and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Full, clean driver’s licence required.
- Flexibility for occasional site visits when required
Package:
- Salary €60k-€70k
