Plant Manager

A leading construction company based in Galway is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the management of all company vehicles, plant, and machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a well-established contractor in a key operational role. The position will be primarily office-based, focusing on the efficient coordination, maintenance, and utilisation of company equipment across multiple projects.

Role:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of all company vans, plant, and machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of plant allocation, servicing, and certification.
• Coordinate repairs, servicing, and inspections with external suppliers and mechanics.
• Liaise with site management to ensure plant and equipment availability for ongoing works.
• Oversee the purchasing and replacement of equipment and parts as required.
• Monitor equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
• Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting for plant and machinery operations.
• Ensure all vehicles and machinery are fully compliant with insurance, tax, and health & safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in plant or fleet management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction vehicles, plant, and equipment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team.
• Strong IT and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Full, clean driver’s licence required.
• Flexibility for occasional site visits when required

Package:

• Salary €60k-€70k 
• Excellent benefits package
