Mechanical Site Supervisor required for Ireland’s number one service and maintenance provider to the water and wastewater sector. This will be a permanent full-time position North Munster/Midlands based to serve all areas in Ireland.


  • Supervise directly employed Fitter Crew
  • Supervise Sub-Contractor Fitter Crew.
  • Arrange all site logistics including;
  • Material take-offs
  • Planning of Works
  • Planning of resources required
  • All requirements as set out under the Health & Safety Plan – Inducting personnel, delivering RAMS to site personnel, delivering Tool-Box-Talks, Permits-to-work, ensuring all H&S forms are in place and up-to-date on site.
  • Arranging sub-contractors from other disciplines (civil, electrical, automation)
  • Training Client operators to become comfortable with the day to day running of the plant following commissioning.
  • Liaison with Project Managers and Engineers.
  • Building a good rapport with Client Resident Engineering Team and Plant Operator and continuous liaison with this team.
  • Work as part of a Mechanical Team for the delivery of new installations and for maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • Prepare all siteworks including the completion of all Permits to Work, Safe Plan of Action’s and creating a safe work area.
  • Fitting of equipment to a professional standard. Installations must look neat and tidy and be carried out in such a manner that the end user can safely access and operate the equipment.
  • Comply with the company and our Client’s stringent safety standards.
  • Liaise with our Client’s during installation to ensure safety and quality compliance.


  • Must have the ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team with minimal supervision. The role is a mixed variety of maintenance works and installations.
  • Preferably have experience in water/wastewater treatment plant installations.
  • This role requires experience in installation of Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron and PVC pipework of all range of sizes
  • Experience in the installation of equipment such as pumps, valves, blowers, augers, penstocks, platforms & access equipment, etc is required.
  • Experience in the installation, repair & maintenance of Chemical Systems including equipment such as bulk storage tanks, kiosks, chemical dosing pumps, chemical dosing pipelines, double contained pipework and the fitting/installation of all associated instrumentation.
  • Chemical System Installations will include the following chemicals, Aluminium Sulphate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hypochlorite, Polymers, Sulphuric Acid and any other chemicals associated with the water and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Must have experience in commissioning equipment such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, dosing pumps, PC pumps, actuators, conveyors, motors and gearboxes.
  • Must also be familiar with typical instrumentation used in the water sector such as level, flow, pressure, pH, chlorine, turbidity etc.
  • Strong technical capability with attention to detail in reading drawings, templates, schematics P&ID’s and other drawings.
  • Willingness to travel (within Ireland) where necessary
  • Full clean driving licence


  • Salary circa €60k – €70k DOE
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Standard Monday to Friday working week.
