Responsibilities:
- Overseeing tender processes, involving measurement, drawing take-offs, and compiling tender documents.
- Analyzing and preparing tender costs for discussions with the commercial manager and project directors.
- Guiding and taking ownership of commercial and contractual aspects throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensuring effective communication with the Client Commercial/Contract Team.
- Supervising the commercial facets of subcontractors’ involvement in projects.
- Regularly updating project costs, margin, and cashflow reports.
- Leading project change order procedures and negotiating costs with the client.
- Ensuring prompt payments to subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Monitoring contract dates to ensure compliance.
- Collaborating with other Quantity Surveyors and supporting Contract Managers.
- Facilitating the agreement of final accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical estimation within the contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of tender processes, bills of quantities, and project cost analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in relevant software/tools for mechanical estimation.
