Mechanical Design Engineer – Cork (Leading Engineering Consultancy)
A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong presence in Cork is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects across Ireland, including healthcare, commercial, educational, and mixed-use developments.
You will join an experienced and collaborative M&E team, working in a supportive environment that values technical excellence, professional development, and innovative design.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the development of mechanical system designs, schematics, and 3D models in line with project and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with in-house civil, structural, and electrical teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Conduct mechanical calculations and contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions.

Assist in preparing technical documentation, reports, and tender submissions.

Participate in site visits, design reviews, and client meetings to ensure delivery standards are maintained.
Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

Minimum 3 years’ experience with an Irish consultancy, ideally working on building services design.

Proficient in AutoCAD, with working knowledge of Revit highly desirable.

Familiar with Irish Building Regulations, TGD Part L, and CIBSE design standards.

Strong communication and teamworking skills.

Salary: €50,000 – €60,000, depending on experience.
