M&E Manager (Canada)
Exciting opportunity for an M&E Manager to relocate to Toronto and join one of Canada’s largest main contractors (circa $4B annual turnover). This role, within the Building Division, covers a diverse portfolio including high-rise, commercial, healthcare, infrastructure, transportation, and education projects. Reporting to the M&E Director, the M&E Manager ensures contract compliance, strategic project deliverables, subcontractor readiness, budget adherence, and safety compliance while overseeing all M&E aspects. The role may also include managing Specialists and Coordinators.
Duties:
- Review bid and contract documentation, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with submission requirements.
- Manage project financial operations, subcontractor agreements, and commercial administration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee MEIT project scope, including estimating, procurement, subcontracting, and execution of contract commitments.
- Ensure accurate cost tracking, risk mitigation, and financial reporting to maintain project profitability and compliance.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, contract close-out processes, and change order management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Diploma, technical school training, or university degree with trade knowledge required.
- Proficiency in multiple specializations is an asset.
- 10+ years of experience in relevant fields.
- Experience with complex contracts and managing large subcontractors.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within project teams.
Benefits:
- Salary $180k to $210k CAD (Circa €120k to €140k)
- $15,000 to $25,000 CAD relocation package
