My client, a Global Group with projects in more than 15 countries across 4 continents are now looking for a Land Survey Manager to join their team. The successful Land Survey Manager will be working on a long-term framework, high profile Civil infrastructure project at Dublin Airport.
Role:
- Surveying Operations:
- Plan and manage all surveying activities across the project site.
- Supervise and perform setting out of construction works in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
- Conduct and oversee site measurements to verify construction progress and accuracy.
- Ensure precise quantity certification for materials and works completed, supporting commercial and billing processes.
- Performance Control & Reporting:
- Monitor and control surveying performance against project benchmarks.
- Prepare and present surveying reports to the Construction Manager and project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of survey data, measurements, and certifications.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and coordinate a team of Land Surveyors and Assistant Land Surveyors.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Allocate tasks and manage workloads to meet project deadlines.
- Compliance & Coordination:
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with airport regulations, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Liaise with design teams, engineers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment.
- Coordinate with airport authorities and other stakeholders to manage access and operational constraints.
Requirements:
- Essential Criteria:
- Degree or diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in airport or infrastructure construction projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in surveying instruments and software (e.g., Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and setting out procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, Manual Handling)
- In addition to the above:
- Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages: Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Highly skilled in prioritising and organising.
- Good leadership, motivational and people management skills.
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others including colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Salary:
- €75K – €90K neg DOE
