A leading housing developer is seeking a Land Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and unlock strategic land acquisition opportunities, supporting growth and early-stage development projects. This role reports to the Head of Land Development and will be based in the head offices in Dublin City Centre.
Responsibilities
- Proactively source, assess, and appraise new land opportunities, including off-market and strategic sites.
- Build and maintain relationships with landowners, agents, promoters, and local authorities.
- Lead negotiations and secure land agreements, options, and contracts with legal and finance support.
- Coordinate technical, planning, environmental, and legal due diligence.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to zoning, planning, ecology, and infrastructure.
- Prepare investment cases, opportunity briefs, and recommendation reports.
- Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities, statutory bodies, and communities.
- Work with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from acquisition to development.
- Track pipeline progress, risks, and opportunities, supporting strategic planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in land acquisition, development, or real estate investment.
- Strong knowledge of planning, zoning, and development processes in Ireland.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially astute with experience preparing investment cases and managing budgets.
- Analytical mindset and ability to assess risks and opportunities.
- Degree in property, planning, real estate, or a related field preferred.
Salary & Benefits
- €95,000 – €105,000 per annum, depending on experience.
