A leading civil engineering company is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major road infrastructure project in Maynooth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with at least 1 year of civil engineering experience, ideally working on roads or large-scale civil infrastructure projects, to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow forecasts under the guidance of senior QS staff
- Support procurement processes for subcontractors and preparation of subcontract agreements
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and assist with valuations
- Liaise with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and clients
- Assist in identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with company procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering projects, preferably road or large-scale infrastructure
- Knowledge of cost management and contract administration within civil projects
- Ability to work on-site and collaboratively within a project team
- Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
- Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
