Junior HSQE Advisor
A Junior HSQE Advisor is required for utilities and civil engineering projects across the Greater Dublin Area. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic HSQE professional with early-stage experience who wants to develop within a leading contractor. The role involves supporting compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while promoting a strong safety culture on-site.
Role:
• Assist in implementing and monitoring HSQE policies, procedures, and site-specific risk assessments.
• Support site audits, inspections, and safety walkdowns to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.
• Report and assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near-misses, and hazards – ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and support staff training.
• Promote behavioral safety and continuous improvement across projects.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to help resolve HSQE issues promptly.
• Ensure proper use of PPE, machinery, and equipment in line with statutory requirements.
• Maintain HSQE records, documentation, and digital safety systems.
• Support environmental and quality compliance activities where required.
Requirements:
• 1–2+ years’ experience in a HSQE, Health & Safety, or site-based safety role in Ireland (including relevant college placement experience).
• Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or construction (preferred).
• Relevant health & safety qualification (SafePass + L6/7 H&S Cert, NEBOSH Certificate, or working toward NEBOSH/IOSH).
• Knowledge of H&S legislation and best practices in construction and utilities.
• Strong IT skills with experience using MS Word/Excel and digital HSQE tools.
• Good communicator with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk management.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Right to work in ROI.
