A Junior Health and Safety Officer is required to work for a top Civils Contractor in Cork. The successful candidate will receive guidance and training from a highly regarded health and safety manager within the industry.
Role:
- Enforce the implementation of the company’s policies, procedures, and management systems for health, safety, quality, and environmental issues.
- Assist site management in drafting and communicating Method Statements, Safe Plans of Action, and Tool Box Talks, providing advice and support as needed.
- Offer guidance, instruction, and advice on all health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees, including sub-contractors as necessary.
- Conduct Health & Safety induction programs for new employees or sub-contractors on site.
- Carry out regular inspections and site audits, reporting any findings to site and senior company management. Ensure prompt follow-up to address any identified issues.
- Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, investigated, and appropriate notifications are given to the Directors, Health & Safety Authority, and Insurers as required.
- Promote the Company’s mission of maintaining a healthy, incident, and injury-free workplace.
Requirements:
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification from Ireland/Uk
- Must hold a valid driving licence
- Knowledge of civils sector beneficial
