Junior Estimator (Galway)
A well‑established main contractor is seeking a Junior Estimator to join their Galway head office. The successful candidate will support the Senior Estimators in delivering high‑quality projects.
Role & Duties:
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare pricing packages for consultants, subcontractors, and materials.
- Analyse costs for comparison and reporting.
- Manage and update tender documentation.
- Price preliminaries for management review.
- Support completion and submission of tenders.
- Assist with project handover reports and documentation.
- Maintain estimating data for tenders and reports.
Requirements:
- Background in main contracting with site or technical experience.
- Minimum 1 year relevant industry experience.
- Strong ability to read drawings, specs, and reports; assess risks/issues.
- Clear communicator with problem‑solving skills and creative thinking.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Efficient, accurate, and capable of meeting deadlines.
- Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction.
- Proficient in Word and Excel; Conquest knowledge an advantage.
- Valid driving licence
Package:
- Salary €40k – €45k (depending on experience)
