Health & Safety Officer (Construction)
An established main contractor is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join their team in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a strong safety culture across all projects
- Maintain and implement ISO 45001 and Safe-T-Cert systems
- Draft and update Safety Statements, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and toolbox talks
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative actions
- Support subcontractor compliance and inductions
- Oversee training records and coordinate ongoing H&S training
- Liaise with project teams and management on safety matters and updates
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Health & Safety or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ H&S experience in Irish construction
- IOSH membership
- Manual Handling/Working at Heights instructor certs an advantage
- Strong knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and best practices
- Proficient in MS Office and digital safety platforms
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full clean driver’s licence
