We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with experience in construction site safety management. This role is with a leading building contractor in Harolds Cross, South Dublin. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and lead a team of Health and Safety Officers in the Dublin region.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety inspections and prepare risk assessments
- Regularly review and update Company Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statements
- Deliver Safety Induction Training to all new site staff and maintain documentation
- Promptly investigate, document, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions as necessary
- Provide relevant accident data for insurance purposes
- Identify and coordinate ongoing safety training needs, ensuring all mandatory training is completed on schedule
- Ensure appropriate use of PPE by all relevant personnel
- Review subcontractor Safety Statements and ensure compliance
- Attend regular Health & Safety meetings
Requirements:
- Degree in Health & Safety or related field
- Experience with a main contractor is preferred
- Relevant experience
