An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor to join one of Ireland’s leading civil engineering contractors. This role is based in Maynooth, Kildare, and offers long-term work on a high-profile civil infrastructure project. The company has an outstanding reputation in the industry, backed by a proven track record in delivering projects safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture across the workforce.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training as required.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Ensure all health and safety documentation is up-to-date and compliant with legislation.
- Liaise with site teams, management, and external bodies regarding health and safety matters.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a Health and Safety role within the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g. Diploma in Health and Safety, NEBOSH, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Irish health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Full driving licence.
