My client, a leading developer, is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to work on a large-scale housing project in North County Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing construction team and take ownership of site-based health and safety management. Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, the successful candidate will ensure compliance, promote best practice, and drive a positive safety culture across the project.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the construction management team to maintain a safe and productive site environment.
- Implement and monitor the company’s Health & Safety Management System across all site activities.
- Identify site-specific hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are in place.
- Maintain accurate statutory records and site safety documentation.
- Support management in achieving full compliance with legislative and company safety standards.
- Conduct site audits, address non-conformances, and contribute to incident investigations.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and contribute to ongoing safety training initiatives.
- Liaise effectively with contractors, management, and regulatory bodies to uphold safety excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing safety systems within the construction industry.
- Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (Level 7 or equivalent).
- IOSH membership (preferred).
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Salary & Benefits
- €65,000 – €75,000 per annum + benefits, including:
