My clients are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join their team, working with a Tier One Contractor based in West Dublin. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing safety standards across high-profile construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain Health and Safety management systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with Irish Health and Safety legislation.
- Site Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards, recommend solutions, and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Training & Induction: Deliver effective Health and Safety training programs and site inductions to employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Incident Reporting: Manage and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, ensuring proper investigation and follow-up actions are taken.
- Compliance: Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure projects meet statutory Health and Safety requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with site managers, engineers, and project teams to foster a culture of safety excellence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, audits, and incident reports for internal and external review.
Qualifications & Experience
- A recognized qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health and Safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary: €60,000 – €70,000.
