A leading and well-regarded civil engineering contractor is currently looking to hire an experienced Health and Safety Manager for a major residential development located in West Dublin. This is a long-term role on a project that is just kicking off, with additional works scheduled in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full adherence to Health & Safety legislation, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to maintain safe working conditions.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and relevant training for site personnel and subcontractors.
- Investigate any on-site incidents or accidents, carry out root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within the civil engineering or construction sector in Ireland.
- Recognised Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, NEBOSH, or similar).
- In-depth knowledge of Irish construction safety laws and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently and encourage compliance across teams.
- Possession of a full, clean driving licence.
