Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland’s top new Main Build Contractors are searching for a Graduate Engineer. This role will be based on a large residential project in Limerick. This role offers the unique opportunity to join at a formative stage as they expand into new commercial and residential projects in the years ahead.

You’ll be supported by an experienced site team, exposed to every stage of the build, and encouraged to develop your technical, organisational, and leadership skills through real responsibility and mentoring

Duties:

Technical & Site Engineering

  • Carry out setting out using Leica GPS and Total Station for:
    Foundations, blockwork, timber frame installation, drainage, watermain connections, site services, roads, paths, and paving.
  • Survey and compile as-built information, producing accurate drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Conduct detailed quality checks and inspections across each stage of construction.
  • Complete pre-snag inspections and prepare homes for final handover.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate site documentation and ensure subcontractors and the site team are working to the latest drawings and specifications.
  • Upload daily updates, progress photos, and records to Procore.
  • Collaborate with the Assigned Certifier and Design Team to close out BCAR items weekly.
  • Liaise with the Architect, Consulting Engineers, Homebond, and Irish Water to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
  • Provide progress reports and communicate key site updates to Site Management.

Health, Safety & Site Operations

  • Support the day-to-day management of works across the project.
  • Assist in enforcing health and safety standards across the site.
  • Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and other safety briefings as required.

Homeowner Interface

  • Manage snag lists received from homeowners.
  • Liaise with resident’s post-occupation to address any issues, ensuring a smooth aftercare process.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Are keen to learn, take initiative, and get involved in all aspects of site delivery
  • Are comfortable using (or excited to learn) Leica surveying equipment, AutoCAD, and Procore
  • Are organised, dependable, and able to communicate clearly
  • Want to join a growing company where you can progress over time
